We can provide expert witness reports from an Occupational Therapy standpoint, looking at learning disabilities, mental health and/or neurological conditions.
In order to help us formulate a quote, we would request that you please provide:
- Location of assessment.
- Quantity of associated information to critically review.
- An anonymous overview of the case – e.g. conditions present and direction sought.
- Any known risks, reasonable adjustments or important information that may affect the assessment.
We will then provide a full quote and associated information.
Approximate costs
For context, our hourly rate is presently £65 per hour, plus travel time of £30 per hour + at £0.55 per mile. Average estimated duration of case work ranges between 28-35 hours.
Timeline
If a case is then agreed, we aim to provide the draft report within 8 weeks of the booked assessment date. This is to allow for research, report writing and editing. Time is also then allowed for discussion and feedback, either via email, video call or telephone call. The final signed report will be provided on receipt of final payment.
Any associated additional work requests following this will be provided at an hourly rate + travel (if appropriate).
Factors that will change the quote
Please note that all quotes are subject to change in the following circumstances:
- The assessment is cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment or not attended at the agreed time.
- Follow up attendance is required to support a robust assessment with reasonable adjustments.
- Additional information is provided for review and consideration.
- Undisclosed risks are identified on attendance to the assessment, requiring rebooking.
