The LPS consultation will now remain open until 14th July 2022 to allow for a greater range of responses. There are a number of resources and walkthroughs on the consultation document(s) available, including easy read versions available via the main consultation website.
We encourage as many people as possible to take part as the updated Code of Practice has a wide range of impact. From care and education staff to family members, managers and professionals working in related areas, it’s really important that everyone’s voice is heard. There is no need to read the entire document; rather we suggest you look at what impacts your specific situation and answer the questions associated with those areas.
Following the end of the consultation, there will be a review of responses, making amendments or additions as needed, prior to it being placed before the House of Lords for consideration. After which, if accepted, a date and action plan for implementation will be set.
