In our mission to Promote, Partner and Protect, we place a great emphasis on helping teams develop their skills around the Mental Capacity Act, Mental Capacity Assessments, and related areas such as Best Interest Decisions and LPA. In today’s blog we want to shed a little light on what this can look like in everyday practice…
Consultancy services
Here at Mental Capacity Ltd, we partner with professional teams across a range of settings including care homes, day centres, supported living, specialist boarding schools, hospital wards or other environments.
Our consultancy services can take many forms, depending on your needs. These could include supporting the review and development of Mental Capacity Assessments, to working as a Mental Capacity Champion within your team, or even developing resources to support capacity and guides on how to do specific assessments for members of staff.
On top of this we can also offer Occupational Therapy input, providing assessments, reports and rehabilitation support for those who may have (but not limited to) mental health, learning disabilities or brain injuries. Assessments may include an Occupational Assessment, MOHOst or MOHO expLOR, ACE III, Activity of Daily Living Analysis, Sensory Profile or others. From which we can provide joint goal setting, follow up interventions and recommendations.
Each case will be different, and we are ready and prepared to support you in any way we can. If you don’t see something mentioned on our website, do please ask and we will do our best to help. If we are unable to support you, we can advise you on alternative options.
